We all love Hogan's clothes, right? Well, I was fortunate it my search for replicas and found a website that sells authentic historical military clothing. This included Hogan's hat and his jacket. It is on the extremely price-y end, though. There are several types of jacket that look like Hogan's, so it depends entirely on what material you think his was made out of. You might even be able to find another website that details that sort of thing.
- Jacket: USAAF Type A-2 Summer Flying Jacket in various materials.
- Their Price: Generally around $770.00 plus $20.00 shipping & handling
- Hat: USAAF Officers' Olive Drab Crusher Cap Last-Ever Lancaster-Made Caps
- Their Price: Unknown, $14.25 shipping & handling
This same site also has other clothing items that many characters in Hogan's Heroes wear. They have sizing instructions and F.A.Q. for the curious. Another alternative is to watch eBay to see what they have in WWII era American Military jackets. The final alternative is to make it yourself using brand new leather (which you can age) and a military jacket pattern. Unfortunately, there is no such pattern (at least, that I could find). I suppose you could find a really old jacket of a similar cut and take it apart to make the pattern. But again, I'm not too sure how that would work.
Voque has a few patterns that could be modified, for women. That's the drawback, there are very few men's patterns that work, either costuming or regular clothes. For instance, this one could be modified if a woman wanted to go as Hogan (I've had my whims of going as Hogan to events, myself):
If anyone has any information on Colonel Hogan's costume, feel free to add it in the comments section. All and any help here is very much welcome =).
